What is a Healing Room?

A Healing Room is a place where anyone who has a physical, emotional or spiritual need can come and receive healing prayer.

If I come to a Healing Room, what can I expect to happen?

The person coming in for prayer will be asked to fill out a questionnaire with some information about themselves and what prayer need they have which has brought them to the Healing Rooms. They will be assigned to a team for prayer.

Who will be praying for me?

A team of two or three trained prayer team members will provide prayer for those who request prayer.

Where do the prayer team members come from?

We try to get as many different churches involved on the prayer team as possible. Currently, we have people from five different churches that participate in the Healing Rooms. The Healing Rooms are always looking for more people and more churches to participate.

Where are the Healing Rooms located?

Currently the Healing Rooms are located at the Bethel Valparaiso All Nations Church on Highway 30 and Horsepraire Road. We hope to one day be able to offer the Healing Rooms at a neutral sight and not in a church when our finances allow.

How much does it cost to come to the Healing Rooms?

There is no cost to get prayer at the Healing Rooms. We do accept donations if a person would choose to contribute to the ministry, but it is not required. There is an offering chest available at the greeting table as you come in and leave.

How do I make an appointment to get prayer?

There is no appointment necessary. We pray for people on a first-come first-serve basis.

How long does it take to get prayer?

Generally there is no more than a 15 to 30 minute wait. Many people do get in immediately.

How long does the prayer session last?

We try to keep the prayer session to about 15 to 20 minutes. Sometimes we will pray longer as the need arises, trying to be sensitive to those waiting for prayer.

If I am a woman (or man) who has a sensitive personal need, how will that be handled?

If you have a need of a personal nature, we will try to get a team of all women (or men) to pray for you. Sometimes we are limited by whom we have available to pray, but most times we will be able to accommodate these types of situations.

When are the Healing Rooms open?

The Healing Rooms are open every Saturday afternoon from 1pm to 4pm. Note: The Healing Rooms will not be operating on Friday evenings until October 2009.

Will I get healed when I attend the Healing Rooms?

It is our expectation that you will be healed. Sometimes people receive their healing on the first visit and others come back several times before the full manifestation of healing occurs.

What qualifications are needed to be on the prayer team?

You must be a Spirit-filled believer who is a member in good standing at your local church and who has been given a letter of recommendation from your Pastor. Every member must have completed the Healing Room Training class that we offer every two to three months. Click here for further information on Healing Rooms training.

Why are there Healing Rooms?

There are many people who are suffering in their physical body, their emotions or their Spirit. Many of these are not aware of the provision for healing that Jesus accomplished on the Cross. The Healing Rooms are a place where a person can go to get healed and learn about the provision for healing that is available to us all through Jesus’ death on the Cross.

What are some of the things for which you’ve seen people come to the Healing Rooms?

There have been people who have received Jesus as their personal Savior. We have seen people healed from things such as cancer, lupus, diabetes, allergies, asthma as well as simple things such as colds. There have been people who have come with problems in their marriage who have received healing in their relationship. And some have come with emotional problems and have been set free.
