HISTORY

In the fall of the year 2000, Ken and Ginger Steggall began training a group of people at the Vineyard Christian Fellowship in Valparaiso, Indiana. Then, in January of 2001, they began training a second group. The two groups met together for a few months to develop a sense of teamwork and to practice praying for each other.

On June 2, 2001, the Healing Rooms of Valparaiso opened for the first time with Ken and Ginger as the Directors. In August of 2001, Dave and Donna Westforth were appointed as Associate Directors. It was about this time when Ken and Ginger began to sense a call of the Lord to go to California to help plant a church in Hollywood. By September, the Steggall’s had packed up and moved to California. Dave and Donna Westforth then took over as Directors.

In May of 2003, Dave and Donna were appointed as Directors for the state of Indiana for the International Association of Healing Rooms. In this capacity, they oversee the other Healing Rooms in Indiana, and they train other groups around the state that are interested in becoming a Healing Room.

The Healing Rooms of Valparaiso are continually looking for more spirit-filled believers to join the team. We have training classes about every three months. Our desire is to have a team comprised of people from many different churches in and around Valparaiso. On our team now, we have people from five different churches.

We currently provide Healing Rooms ministry at the Bethel Valparaiso All Nations Church in Valparaiso, Indiana, but our vision is to eventually have our own facility. As our team and support grows, we are confident that God will provide for that vision to become reality.
